1. What is a Notary Public?

A Notary Public is a state-appointed official who serves as an impartial witness during the signing of important documents. This helps prevent fraud and ensures that all parties are signing willingly and knowingly.

2. What types of documents can BG Notary notarize?

BG Notary can assist with a wide range of documents, including:
• Loan and mortgage documents
• Power of Attorney

3. What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport). The document must be complete but unsigned until you are in front of the notary.

4. Can you give legal advice or draft documents?

No. BG Notary cannot provide legal advice or prepare legal documents unless the notary is also a licensed attorney.

5. What are your service fees?

Notarization fees are $15 per signature as set by California law. Additional fees apply for travel and after-hours service. Please contact us for a personalized quote.

6. Do you offer mobile notary services?

Yes! BG Notary is fully mobile and can come to your home, workplace, hospital, or any other agreed-upon location.

7. Do you notarize documents in other languages?

Yes, as long as the notarial certificate is in English and the signer understands the contents of the document and can communicate with the notary in English.

8. Can you notarize for the elderly or individuals in care facilities?

Absolutely, provided the individual is mentally aware and able to present valid identification. We frequently visit hospitals, senior homes, and rehabilitation centers.

9. Must all signers be present?

Yes, all signers must be physically present before the notary at the time of notarization.

10. What are your business hours?

BG Notary is available:
• Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Holidays: Please inquire for availability
